With six kids, 13 grandkids and her own farm, it's easy to see why Nancy Fuller has had to lay down a few rules in her house. Oh right, and she also happens to run a multimillion-dollar business.

A new season of "Farmhouse Rules" premiered last month, and the culinary adventures on Fuller's sprawling farm in New York's Hudson Valley are now in full swing. Airing Sundays on Food Network, "Farmhouse Rules" invites viewers into the busy businesswoman's 17th-century farmhouse, where she uses the freshest local ingredients to feed her family and friends classic, home-cooked, country-style meals.

Thirteen grandkids is a lot, and in the episode premiering Sunday, April 3, one of them pays Grandma a visit. Little Miles has brought a few of his friends along for a cooking lesson from the best cook that he knows, and Fuller is only too happy to oblige.

With eager pupils in her kitchen, Fuller prepares some full-flavored classics that she knows the kids will love. First up is her foolproof chicken parmesan, served with spaghetti and meatballs -- a favorite of kids everywhere. Of course, that dish needs a veggie side, so she's also showing the little men the tricks to making her sauteed green beans and creamy lemon dressing.

Once the main dish is out of the way, it's on to dessert, and Grandma isn't pulling any punches here. She's showing them just how simple peanut butter bars with salted chocolate ganache and chocolate are to make, and then, for an extra sweet treat, she's also making peanut butter and raspberry milkshakes.

It's all very demonstrative of Fuller's style of cooking: homey, classic dishes using fresh local ingredients that make even kids' picky palates dance. In future episodes, you can catch Fuller hosting a tea party for her granddaughters, celebrating her historical home's 250th birthday with friends and family, and transforming the leftovers that she finds in her fridge into something fresh and exciting.

She may be a wealthy, successful businesswoman, but Nancy Fuller hasn't let that take her away from her roots. Join her and her family in "Farmhouse Rules," airing Sundays on Food Network.
