Andy Richter hosts "Celebrity Food Fight"

Who says that food fights are just for kids? Adults may be the grown-ups (obviously), but that doesn't mean that they have to act like it all the time, right? Well, Food Network has been tossing adults into the metaphorical frying pan with "Celebrity Food Fight."

This isn't some disorganized, condiment-squirting, hamburger-tossing, salad-slinging chaotic battle of the strong arms, though. No, this is a much more organized battle, wrapped up in the guise of a dinner party. A new episode of "Celebrity Food Fight" airs Wednesday, June 29, on the Food Network.

That dinner party is hosted by Andy Richter, Conan O'Brien's constant sidekick. He's starred alongside O'Brien in "Late Night," "The Tonight Show" and "Conan," which has given him an in with a lot of celebrities over the years. In "Celebrity Food Fight," he has them over for a dinner party, along with some fun-loving celebrity chefs.

The celebs and chefs aren't just visiting for the food, they're visiting for the fun. In each episode, Richter pairs up the celebs with the chefs into teams of two, and with each course presents his guests with trivia, word games and challenges -- all food-based, of course.

The celebrity/chef teams have a real incentive to excel at Richter's games, too: The losing pair has to do the dishes at the end of the night!

In this week's episode, musician Coolio is paired up with Food Network's own Damaris Phillips ("Southern at Heart") to compete against the team of Emmy-winning actress Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock From the Sun") and chef Richard Blais ("Top Chef").

Trying to talk with a mouthful of dry crackers and struggling to spell out some not-so-easy food words are just two of the hilarious dinner party games that Richter has up his sleeve for his guests.

While regular Joes may not be invited to Andy Richter's dinner party, we can at least watch from the comfort of our homes. "Celebrity Food Fight" is currently airing Wednesdays on Food Network.
