Q: I was watching one of the "Lethal Weapon" movies and saw a number of supporting actors who were also in the movie "Scrooged." I guess that means they were made by the same director?

You guessed it. Both were directed by Richard Donner, the longtime Hollywood hitmaker who first made his mark on Hollywood with the creepy 1976 classic "The Omen" and continues to work in the business today.

In his 30-plus years in the film biz, Donner repeatedly worked with the same supporting players, developing a makeshift repertory company along the way.

Q: Have they ever released "Dino-Riders" on DVD? I'd love to buy it!

It would seem that you're more enthusiastic about the show than Marvel and Mattel, the two companies that would own the rights to the "Dino-Riders" franchise.

The series is not available on DVD, though if you're old enough to remember a cartoon that only aired 14 episodes in 1988 and 1989, you may be old enough to still have a VHS player. In that case you're in luck: several of the episodes (though not all) are available on tape, if you can find them.

Q: Are Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy related?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

They are, in fact, cousins, and apparently Jenny McCarthy takes family seriously.

The two were in the news a lot a few weeks back when Jenny did the talk show rounds to defend her cousin, after "New York Observer" critic Rex Reed made an issue of Melissa's weight in a review of her recent film "Identity Thief."
