Two new food shows are scheduled to land on The Roku Channel this week, and both hail from Christopher Kimball, creator of "Milk Street" (and former CEO/host of "America's Test Kitchen").

Creepshow, on AMC

A bus full of Americans is driven to the Canadian border to illustrate the pitfalls of the U.S. healthcare system in the first part of this eerie new episode. Later, a police chief is keen to preserve law and order following an invasion of the undead.

Q: Is Michael Vartan still acting? I've kind of lost track of him since "Alias."

His central role as Michael Vaughn on "Alias" certainly led us to believe that Michael Vartan would continue to be a fixture on our TV screens after the ABC spy smash ended in 2006, and he was — just not on shows that were watched.

Actually, that's slightly unfair. Few of his more recent shows were true flops, they just suffered from being compared to "Alias," the sort of landmark show people talked about around the mythical water cooler.

Q: I swear I saw a TV movie of a Sue Grafton book. The actress playing Kinsey Millhone was terrible. Am I wrong? If not, what was the title of the movie?

I hate to be blunt, but you're wrong.

That said, detective novel legend Sue Grafton herself was incredibly blunt about it.

"I will never sell [Kinsey Millhone] to Hollywood," she said in a 1997 interview with January magazine. "And I have made my children promise not to sell her. We've taken a blood oath, and if they do so, I will come back from the grave: which they know I can do."

La Brea, on NBC

A new episode of this sci-fi series airs tonight. The series follows the story of a group of Los Angelenos who were sucked into a gargantuan sinkhole in Season 1, as they emerge 12,000 years into the past and try to survive their new reality.
