Victoria (Rose), a former drug courier, looks forward to a quiet future with her daughter, Lily (Brener), as she leaves behind a life of treacherous encounters and dirty deals. Agreeing without hesitation, she enters a brutal game run by gangsters and their violent subordinates, doing the bidding for deranged Damon, whose list of assignments grows more impossible by the hour. With her only child on the line, Victoria must find a way to kill the city's kingpins or lose the only thing that makes her life worth living.

With a relentless and sombre twistedness, Montgomery details the mortuary's duty to guard the death stories of all the bodies that come across his table, and to Sam's growing unease, he recounts a handful of the most gruesome ones.
