Q: Did John Grisham ever do a TV show based on one of his books? Or was it just movies?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

There have been two attempts at capturing the Grisham-movie magic on the small screen, both unsuccessful. But maybe the third time's a charm?

Lawyer-turned-author John Grisham's novels have been reliably successful when translated to the big screen (his first, 1993's "The Firm," made $270 million on a $42-million budget), but not so on the small screen.

TV moms used to be wholesome, mild-mannered do-gooders, but they have (thankfully) evolved over the years. Still, viewers are about to meet a mom like no other.

While Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam and Quebec's Fred la Marmotte both predicted six more weeks of winter, Food Network seemingly shares the same optimistic outlook as Ontario's Wiarton Willie, who predicted an early spring.

Q: Who played the principal in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

That question's not as simple as it sounds. Not surprisingly, the show set (mostly) at a high school actually had a lot of principals. It's not a position that normally has a lot of turnover, but when your school is situated on top of the mouth of hell, it's apparently harder to keep someone in the job.

Buffy Summers' (Sarah Michelle Gellar, "Cruel Intentions," 1999) school had three principals during the show's seven-season run, and to complicate things more, that required four actors.

Late Laughs for the week of February 27 - March 5

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

We've now learned that Rudy [Giuliani] was unmasked during last week's taping of ["The Masked Singer's"] first episode of Season 7. A truly shocking revelation. I can't believe "The Masked Singer" has had seven seasons! ... A lot of people are mad about this ... but keep in mind it may not be the producers' fault. It's possible that Rudy just wandered onto the Fox lot and passed out in a costume.

Q: I just started watching the Netflix series "Archive 81," and it says it was based on a podcast. What was it called and where can I find it?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The podcast was simply called "Archive 81," and to quote the common refrain in the digital-audio sphere, you can find it "wherever you get your podcasts.">That means that it's not exclusive to any one platform.

You can, for example, download from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and more. Or, to make it easier, you can just go to Archive81.com and follow the links from there.

Grey's Anatomy, on ABC/CTV
