The brave, quick-witted and dazzlingly talented writer and soldier Cyrano de Bergerac (Dinklage) is deeply in love with his close childhood friend, Roxanne (Bennett). As Roxanne is being courted by the duplicitous De Guiche (Mendelsohn), she falls head over heels in love with a member of Cyrano's regiment, Christian (Harrison Jr.). As Christian tries to reciprocate his love for Roxanne, he finds himself unable to do so and unwittingly relies on Cyrano's exceptionally crafted words -- an expression of the writer's deep unrequited love. "Cyrano" is a musical adaptation of Edmond Rostand's 1897 play "Cyrano de Bergerac."
