Q: I noticed today in the TV listings that "Little Big Shots" is not being shown. What happened to it? It was a great tribute to our talented young people. What a loss.

Whoa, slow down there. I know a lot of shows get canceled in their first season, and that NBC is a particularly bad offender on that front (NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said so herself), but this isn't one of those times. The news is good, for once.

New Releases for the week of July 24 - 30

The Boss

Michelle Darnell (McCarthy) is an industrial titan, living a life of success, wealth and glamor. When she's sent to prison for insider trading, though, her business empire crumbles away in her absence. When she's finally released, she takes up residence in the apartment of her former assistant, Claire (Bell), and decides to rebrand herself as an all-American sweetheart. Soon enough, she has recruited Claire's daughter (Anderson) and her girl scout troop and turned them into an adorable baked goods sales team, but her former business rival and ex-lover, Renault (Dinklage), doesn't believe the new face that Michelle is presenting to the world.

Criminal

Computer hacker Jan Stroop (Pitt), who goes by the alias "the Dutchman," has created a computer program that can bypass the safeguards on the world's nuclear arsenals. Realizing the implications of his creation, he panics and betrays his shadowy boss by approaching the CIA with his secret. The agent dispatched to secure him is captured and killed after getting the Dutchman to safety, but before he can tell his superiors where the safe house is located. Now, desperate to find the Dutchman and his computer program, the CIA uses experimental technology to transfer the dead agent's memories into the brain of Jericho Stewart (Costner), a criminal convict. The procedure, however, does not go exactly as planned.

I Am Wrath

When Stanley's (Travolta) wife is horribly murdered by thugs in a parking garage and the corrupt police officials are unable to find the killers, Stanley decides to take justice into his own hands. He calls up his old friend, Dennis (Meloni), and the pair sets out on a campaign of vengeance, soon uncovering a conspiracy that extends further than either of them ever could have realized.

Congrats to Chelsea Clinton, who welcomed her second child over the weekend. After the birth, Bill brought flowers, while Hillary brought a focus group to help name the baby.

 

Donald Trump fired his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. Trump said Lewandowski was controversial, impulsive and short-tempered -- and will make a great running mate.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Nicole tells Zende that she trusts him, and he may once again be able to photograph and work with Sasha. Wyatt tells Liam that Quinn is doing as Steffy asks and is staying away from her. Liam explains to Wyatt how Quinn will be the downfall of his marriage to Steffy. Later, Liam, Steffy and Wyatt discuss the upcoming trip to Monte Carlo and how to spend their time at the Spencer Summit. Ridge visits Brooke, and the two discuss the struggles in their recent relationships. Caroline takes Douglas to visit Thomas in his new place. Julius and Vivienne work on getting their marriage back on track. Brooke decides to side with Katie, and is determined to help her in her current struggle with Bill over Will. Zende and Nicole take their relationship to the next level. Despite not wanting help from her sister, Brooke insists that Bill do what Katie asks. Steffy convinces Eric to go to Monte Carlo, and suggests that he bring his new lady friend on the trip.

Days of Our Lives

Shawn struggles to deal with the aftermath of the explosion. Aiden makes an attack against Andre. Blanca's past haunts her. Shawn frantically searches for Hope and Rafe. Hope's condition worsens as she and Rafe remain trapped. After Rafe suffers an intense nightmare, his love for Hope is put to the test. Later, Hope suffers a medical crisis. Maggie opens up to Julie. Brady and Theresa track down and confront Summer in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Aiden maintains his innocence. Brady questions Victor's involvement in Tate's kidnapping, while Summer makes an emotional appeal to Theresa. Steve helps search for Tate. Kate moves out of the mansion. Deimos asks Nicole if they can have a fresh start. Brady and Theresa remain at odds with one another.

General Hospital

Everyone is taken by surprise by Theo. Lucas confronts Julian and comes down hard on him. Hayden attempts to use guilt against Naomi. Nina requests that Curtis drop his investigation into Claudette. Alexis receives some startling news, and soon hears a surprising declaration of love. Julian's condition worsens. Sabrina and Michael grow closer together. Kristina visits Parker. Though Finn is reluctant, he agrees to Sonny's terms. Carly continues in her quest to track down Josslyn's kidney donor. Franco offers a gift to Elizabeth, which she declines. Ava attempts to create an alliance. Lulu is horrified by the discovery she makes. Sonny suffers terrible timing.

The Young and the Restless

Victoria wants to keep quiet about the oil problems, but Luca is insistent that the best strategy is to go to the press. At the office later on, Summer tells Victoria she's on her side and will work with her to figure out what Luca's endgame is. Devon decides he doesn't want Dr. Neville treating Hilary anymore. When Jack comes to the hospital to apologize to Hilary, Devon tells him to go take care of Phyllis. Dr. Neville tells Ashley that Dr. Shelby won't let him anywhere near Hilary. After considering her options, Mariah tells Sharon she's decided to move back in with Kevin. Victor denies any knowledge of the missing pages when Dylan confronts him about the evidence that could clear Adam. Later, Dylan asks Kevin to go to the bus station and pull the security footage. Meanwhile, Nick tells Luca to pack his bags and leave town because he's no good for Summer. As Billy goes to confront Phyllis at her suite, Jack stumbles upon some unexpected information about Phyllis at Jabot.

Rush Hour, on CBS

Hong Kong cop Det. Lee (Jon Foo) works alongside LAPD officer Det. Carter (Justin Hires) in a new episode of this action comedy based on the film franchise of the same name. Although the two have completely different styles, they make a great team.
