Queen & Slim
After an awkward date in an Ohio diner, Queen (Turner-Smith), a criminal defense attorney, is driven home by her Tinder match, Slim (Kaluuya). On the drive home, the couple is pulled over by a police officer who claims Slim was driving erratically. After Slim is asked to step out of the vehicle, the situation escalates, and the officer draws his gun on the couple. When Queen steps out of the car to record the encounter on her phone, the officer shoots Queen, grazing her leg. In reaction to the gunfire, Slim takes the officer's gun and shoots him in self-defense. Deciding to go on the run rather than spend their lives in jail, the couple quickly become viral sensations and incite grief and hysteria worldwide.

Nick is worried about Victor overworking himself, but when Adam offers to take charge, Victor says he needs time to think about it. In the hopes that Phyllis will back off, Abby offers to buy her shares of the Grand Phoenix for a very generous price. This makes Phyllis suspicious, and she says she needs time to think it over. Theo tells Mariah about a photo of Tanner and Tessa that was posted on social media, and Mariah is concerned. Later, Tanner appears shirtless in Tessa's room when she and Mariah are on a video call, and Mariah asks Tessa point-blank if she's slept with Tanner. Tessa seems offended and hurt by the question, but does not answer it.
