Q: Is "Drop Dead Diva" coming back? And is the girl who played Jane in anything else? She was great!

Alas, "Drop Dead Diva" has dropped dead for good this time, and star Brooke Elliott has sort of dropped off the radar.

Despite the fact that the series was a hit for Lifetime, it had already been canceled once before, after its fourth season. The network thought it was costing too much per episode (Lifetime still isn't a major player in the original-series game, so its budgets are even tighter than most).

Q: I heard that Disney was going to make a movie from the "Peter and the Starcatchers" series of books by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Is there anything happening with that or was that all just a rumor?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

You didn't mention a third option: It was not just a rumor, however there is nothing happening with that.

Disney was earnestly working on a film version of "Peter and the Starcatchers," which was a Peter Pan prequel series written by famed humorist Dave Barry and established suspense novelist Ridley Pearson. And it had every reason to be earnest about it, since it owned the property. The books were published by Hyperion, which is a Disney subsidiary.
