After suffering through several miscarriages, lighthouse keeper Tom (Fassbender) and his wife, Isabel (Vikander), face a moral dilemma when a rowboat containing an infant girl and a dead man washes up on the shore of their rocky island. In their grief, they decide to raise the girl as their own, telling no one the truth about her discovery. As baby Lucy (Clery) grows up, though, Tom uncovers who her birth mother is. In his guilt, he contacts her anonymously, risking exposing the truth about the daughter that he and Isabel loved and raised.
After waking up in a Florence hospital with no memories of recent events in his life, Robert Langdon (Hanks) is forced to flee with the help of Dr. Sienna Brooks (Jones) when an assassin makes an attempt on his life. While going through his personal belongings to try to reconstruct the holes in his memories, Langdon comes across a clue that leads him to believe that a dead billionaire has created a virus that, if released, would wipe out much of the Earth's population. With the assassin still on their trail, Langdon and Brooks set out to follow the clues through the streets of Florence and Venice to find the virus before it can be released.

While they wait for a tow truck to arrive, mother and daughter begin to realize that there's something monstrous lurking in the woods around them.

Everyone at Forrester Creations is stunned at the shift in Ridge's attitude toward Quinn, and Eric shares with Katie the reason he sent Quinn and Ridge to the symposium in San Francisco. Wyatt expresses gratitude to Eric for all that he's done, but he's made a decision about Steffy. Liam issues an ultimatum to Steffy: she can either let her family manipulate her, or live happily with him.
