Ridge confronts Liam about how he's treating Steffy. Steffy reaches out to Liam and begs him to delay marrying Hope until their daughter's birth, while Ridge comes face-to-face with Bill and accuses him of bringing enormous heartbreak and misery to his own son. Q: Can you tell me what's going on with "Shades of Blue"?

Surprisingly, I can, but once I do, you might wish I didn't.

In a somewhat rare move, NBC officially announced the cancellation of "Shades of Blue," which stars pop star Jennifer Lopez. Usually a network would simply not renew the show and leave fans wondering, so this is technically a kindness.

However, it came with a more unambiguous bit of good news, too: there's still one season left of the show. It premieres in June.

Q: Are the leads from "Boy Meets World" and "The Wonder Years" related? They could be brothers but there would have to be a big age gap.

There's less of a gap than you think -- there are only four years between brothers Fred and Ben Savage.

If that seems surprising, it might be because of the nature of their most famous shows. Fred Savage was 12 years old when he debuted in the hit family drama "The Wonder Years," the show that made him a star. And though the show premiered in 1988, it was actually a nostalgia piece set in the '60s.

As streaming and subscription services try to woo viewers, the heat is on for networks to keep prime time interesting. Few recent dramas have captured the attention of TV fans like NBC's latest hit franchise, the Chicago series of shows from legendary executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order").

There are a couple of "deals" going on with "Cold Justice's" new place on Oxygen, but neither is anything to worry about -- the show's in good shape.

Your point about only getting "occasional" new episodes is a fair one -- Oxygen is airing it on a somewhat more irregular schedule than it had on TNT, its previous channel, sometimes letting weeks pass between episodes.

So dramatic: New drama 'Vida' is a breath of fresh air

So dramatic: It doesn't take much for one's world to get turned upside down. The death of a loved one, a shocking revelation about a family member or even a rapidly changing neighborhood can do it in a flash, but when all three of those influences happen at once, it's definitely a recipe for some juicy storytelling.

New Releases for the week of May 6 - 12

Fifty Shades Freed

Now happily married, Ana (Johnson) and Christian (Dornan) return early from their exotic and romantic honeymoon after they receive word of a break-in at Christian's company headquarters. When the security camera footage reveals that the trespasser was Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), Ana's former boss who holds a deep grudge against her, Christian assigns a security detail as a precautionary measure, ultimately leading to an argument between the couple over Christian's controlling behavior and Ana's lust for freedom. When Ana reveals that she's pregnant, their argument escalates and leads to Christian contacting an ex-lover, further damaging the young couple's relationship. When Jack finally contacts Ana to demand ransom for a woman he has kidnapped, the situation may be the final straw that breaks the once-happy couple apart once and for all.

The Late Late Show With James Corden

The speaker of the house, Paul Ryan, announced this morning that he will retire at the end of the year to spend more time with his family. Which is shocking to hear. Not that he is stepping down -- that someone is leaving Washington and Trump didn't fire them.

By leaving a full-time job with benefits, Paul Ryan will finally achieve one of his dreams: depriving an American family of their health insurance.
