Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

There's some rather big news, but apparently not what you're expecting.

USA Network announced a few months ago that it would be launching a series built in the Bourne-iverse, titled "Treadstone" (if you're slavering after news of a sixth film, you know Treadstone is the name of the secret CIA super-soldier program that produced Jason Bourne).

Gotham, on Fox

As a host of supervillains rises in Gotham, a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) takes it upon himself to protect the city. This fifth and final season of the drama based on the DC Comics characters also chronicles the efforts of Det. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to battle corruption.

Q: What happened to one of my favorite shows, "The Amazing Race"? I haven't seen it yet this season.

Adam Thomlison / TV Media

"The Amazing Race" is taking the slow boat to get to our screens this time around, but it will get here eventually.

Last season, the show's incredible 30th, aired over the first months of winter, but that won't happen for the 31st. We'll have to wait until late spring to see the next group of competitors hit the road.

The Conners, on ABC

Darlene (Sara Gilbert) faces many surprises and challenges this season as she raises her two kids back home in Lanford in this comedy. Through it all, she relies on support from her dysfunctional family, including her father Dan (John Goodman).

Q: My whole family loves "The Vampires Diaries," and we would love more episodes. We just finished season 8. Can you tell us if any more are coming out?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Alas, no, "The Vampire Diaries" are closed for good.

The good news is the show's universe has expanded quite a bit from there. In fact, there's a new spinoff (the show's second) airing episodes as we speak.

"Legacies" features some characters from "The Vampire Diaries," particularly the Saltzman family -- Alaric, Josie and Lizzie -- so you'll feel right at home with the new show.

America's Got Talent: The Champions, on NBC

Host Terry Crews welcomes performers from past seasons to compete for another shot at stardom. This edition of the acclaimed reality TV program will also feature popular acts from international versions of the show.
