Superintelligence

Carol Peters (McCarthy) lives a perfectly ordinary life. It sometimes seems as though nothing exciting will ever happen, but then one day her home network system begins interacting with her in the voice of her favorite celebrity, James Corden. The super-intelligent being is great: it erases Carol's student debt, deposits $10 million into her bank account and even gets her back with her ex-boyfriend, George (Cannavale). Everything appears to be going Carol's way until the AI's real intentions come to light — one of which is destroying humankind. Now Carol has to convince her James Corden sound-alike that the human race is really worth saving.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

In case all that didn't give it away, the narrator is John Larroquette.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

If you think that the 1970s were a long time ago, you might want to sit down for this: The first episode of "Candid Camera" aired in 1948.

And that's just the TV version. In fact, it's been around so long the "camera" part was kind of a novelty -- it started as a radio show in 1947 called "Candid Microphone."
