Q: The actor who played Paul of Tarsus in the History Channel miniseries "The Bible": was that the same guy who played in the film "The Brothers Grimm"?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

No, but there is definitely a similarity there.

Paul of Tarsus, who begins by persecuting the disciples of Jesus but soon becomes one, was portrayed in the final instalment of the History Channel's "The Bible" by a very stubble-faced Con O'Neill.

In "The Brothers Grimm" (2005), Cavaldi, the policeman who first pursues the outlaw brothers before eventually seeking their protection, is played by an equally (almost always, in fact) stubble-faced Peter Stormare.

Q: Besides the U.S. and U.K. versions, isn't there also a Russian TV version of Sherlock Holmes? Someone told me there is. If that's true, who does it star?

St. Petersburg stands in for Victorian-era London in "Sherlok Kholms," which premiered last year on Channel One Russia.

The series stars budding young Russian star Igor Petrenko as the titular detective, and the more established actor Andrey Panin as his devoted companion, Doctor Watson.

Indeed, it seems the series is hewing closely to the source material, with other characters from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, such as Irene Adler and Inspector Lestrade, making appearances.

The Voice, on NBC

The coaches prepare for some electrifying Knockout rounds in this special two-hour edition. The vocalists face off once again in the hopes of avoiding elimination and moving onto the final live performance shows.
