Q: Do you remember the movie "Key Largo"? Was that based on a book or something?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Or something, yes.

The 1948 classic "Key Largo" was actually based on a play by Pulitzer-winning dramatist Maxwell Anderson.

Several of Anderson's other plays were made into films, such as "Saturday's Children," which was adapted three times, and "Anne of the Thousand Days," which was nominated for best picture in 1969 (21 years after it debuted on stage). "Key Largo" debuted on stage in 1939, marking a much better turnaround time to film.

Q: I love David Shatraw in "Titus" -- what else has he done? What is he doing now?

Author:

Once I realized you're asking about the mostly forgotten Fox sitcom that ran from 2000 to 2002, and not the much-better-known 1999 Shakespearean film adaptation of the same name, I was able to find out for you.

Of course, comedic supporting man David Shatraw would have been out of place opposite Anthony Hopkins in the gory adaptation of Shakespeare's tale of Rome at war. The working-stiff sitcom starring popular standup comic Christopher Titus was a much better fit for him.
