It seems as if the episode you're looking for is the first-season classic "Walking Distance," but it doesn't quite match your description.

In the episode, a troubled man returns to his childhood hometown and finds it exactly as it was in his youth. Exactly. As it turns out, he's traveled back in time somehow. He encounters his young self on a carousel in the park and approaches him, but scares him away. As the boy flees, though, he injures his leg on the play structure.

Dancing With the Stars, on ABC

Late Laughs for the week of May 4 - May 10, 2014

The Late Show: David Letterman

Last month, over 200,000 jobs were created in the United States. And that doesn't count this one.

Last week I announced that I'm retiring. Now I'm hoping I can hang on long enough so my son can take over the show. I never thought I would retire. I always assumed I would be impeached.
