During the civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, the lives of Theo (Oguns) and his siblings are dramatically altered. When their village is destroyed and their parents are killed by the northern militia, the orphans, known as "The Lost Boys," are forced to travel hundreds of miles on foot to safety. Thirteen years after trekking to a Kenyan refugee camp, a group of these survivors, now adults, are given the opportunity to start a new life in America. They’re met in the airport by Carrie Davis (Witherspoon), an employment agency counselor enlisted to help them find jobs. Seeing that they need a lot more help navigating 20th-century America, Carrie goes to great lengths to help them stay together and rebuild their shattered lives.

Things get tense when Nick finds David Sherman at Sharon's, and Faith becomes upset at her fighting parents. Later, Sharon pleads for Noah's help to prevent the custody battle from becoming a war. Victoria asks Stitch out on a date. Meanwhile, Chelsea admits to Anita that she can't stop Billy if he wants to be with Victoria. Michael shares with Lauren his concern that telling Fen about his cancer will ruin everything. Though Sage thinks Adam should steer clear of Genoa City for a while, a furious Adam insists there's another option besides changing his identity and living a lie.
Hoping his canine pal can help him get into the Christmas spirit, Rerun turns to Snoopy in this animated special. Unfortunately, Snoopy has other plans, so Rerun decides to invite Snoopy's brother Spike for a visit, with hilarious results.
The final leg of the race brings heartbreak for some as the remaining teams scramble to reach the last destination in this season finale. Hosted by Phil Keoghan, this acclaimed series follows contestants as they race around the world in the hopes of winning $1 million.

Paget Brewster, who played Prentiss for six years on "Criminal Minds," has been doing a lot of voice work and small roles since leaving the hit crime show in 2012 at the end of its seventh season.
She's done voice work on series such as "American Dad!," "Dan Vs." and "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law," as well as brief arcs and guest spots on shows such as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Modern Family."
More scrumptious fare is on the menu as the aspiring chefs show off their culinary skills in a holiday-themed edition. An all-star team of chefs train the contestants as they prepare dishes that will later be judged in a blind taste test.

As with all good things, CBS's "The Mentalist" is coming to an end. After a successful six-season run, the network announced it would renew the show for one final season, which premiered back in November, spanning 13 episodes.
