Cooking isn't so different from acting, right? Learning a recipe is just like memorizing a script; figuring out how to cut the ingredients properly isn't so different from perfecting the body language of a scene.

Q: Are reruns of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" being run on any channel?

Not at the moment, but you can never say never with a show that's already been canceled twice.

Fox's on-again-off-again game show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" aired on the network from 2007 to 2009, then in syndication from 2009 to 2011. Later in 2011, the Game Show Network bought the rights to air the reruns, which it did until 2013 (having aired it daily, it presumably ran out of episodes).

Disney is famous for its weird video-releasing approach, characterized by the Disney Vault. Movies are available on video for a while, then they're pulled from shelves to let demand build again. In this way, a single film can have multiple releases.

Q: Why is "The Vampire Diaries" not being renewed after season 8?

To hear the creators tell it, it was their idea to end the show. But of course they would say that -- just like in a breakup, you never want people to think you were the one who got dumped.
