Q: I think I spotted two members of the "Glee" cast in the video for Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night." Were there more guest stars in there?

When it came out in 2011, the video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" entered the great pantheon of celebrity-laden music videos, but it did so with a bang.

Not content with just one or two hey-that-guy/girl moments, the clip promoting Perry's hit summer anthem had seven notable appearances.

Q: Why has the second season of the PBS series "Beecham House" vanished? It was a wonderful story and ended on a cliffhanger, and those who watched it want to find out what happened.

The second season of "Beecham House" hasn't "vanished" so much as it never existed — and was never meant to.

From the beginning, before it ever aired, the show was being billed by its network (U.K. broadcaster ITV) as a six-part miniseries; and that's what they delivered.

A few days after the finale ended in July 2019, the show's official Twitter account even posted a pretty final statement: "We hope you've enjoyed the series as much as we have enjoyed making it."

Q: I've watched the reruns of "M*A*S*H" about a million times, and the episode that always sticks out to me is the one with the guy singing between scenes -- I think the song is called "Oh Tokyo," but that might just be one of the lines. Who was that? Wha

He actually appeared (and sang) in three episodes, but Loudon Wainwright III's first appearance, in the Season 3 episode "Rainbow Bridge," is definitely the most peculiar.

The episode just cuts to Wainwright periodically, alone on the chopper pad, singing "North Korean Blues" (a song whose common refrain is, indeed, "Oh Tokyo").

New Releases for the week of July 18 - 24

Spiral

When a cop is killed on a subway line under suspicious circumstances, Capt. Angie Garza (Nichols) immediately assigns veteran Det. Ezekiel Banks (Rock) and fresh-faced Det. William Schenk (Minghella) to the case. As they put together their evidence, Banks struggles to ignore the murder scene's eerie similarities to those investigated during the Jigsaw Killer’s reign of terror. Unconvincing at first, given Jigsaw’s confirmed death years earlier, his hunch comes to ground itself in reality when a blue box arrives at the station. Containing the bloody skin of another murdered cop and a USB marked "Play Me," Banks and Schenk begin to chase what seems more and more with every new mutilated body delivered to be a copycat killer. Unshaken at first, Banks' grit begins to crumble when this ghost story threatens to lead him to his estranged father, Marcus (Jackson), and his fellow brothers in blue.

Realizing how long and expensive the venture will be, Jan rounds up a bunch of her neighbors to pitch in money to collectively buy and raise a promising purebred they name "Dream Alliance." At first an attempt to break away from the monotony of their daily lives, the community’s nurturing of Dream Alliance lifts their town's spirit and reminds them of the good that can come out of a bit of hope and perseverance.
