Brooklyn shakeup: What may be TV's funniest cop show is back on shift, and after the explosive events of last season's finale, there'll be some new faces showing up at the precinct.

Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," the Emmy-winning comedy starring "Saturday Night Live's" Andy Samberg as childish Det. Jake Peralta and Andre Braugher ("Homicide: Life on the Street") as Capt. Raymond Holt, returns for its third season on Sunday, Sept. 27.

All of the main cast will be back for more wacky crime-fighting hijinks, but as fans of the show will know, there are two positions waiting to be filled at the NYPD's 99th precinct.

Samberg's fellow former "SNL" cast member Bill Hader has joined the cast as a guest star, and he'll be moving in to fill one of the Nine-Nine's vacant positions. Described as "efficient," it's likely that his character will have trouble fitting in with a squad still reeling over the staffing changes -- not to mention their often unconventional ways of getting the job done.

On a less spoilery note, Det. Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio, "Pineapple Express," 2008) will find not one but two beautiful women vying for his affections this season. Both Mary Lynn Rajskub ("24") and Archie Panjabi ("The Good Wife") have signed on as romantic interests for the divorced cop.

Of course, the rest of the precinct will be back with more crime-fighting laughs, too. The tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz, "You're Not You," 2014), muscled father Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews, "Everybody Hates Chris"), ambitious and by-the-book Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero, "One Life to Live"), shallow administrator Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti, "Kroll Show") and the buffoonish Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller, "Super 8," 2011) and Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker, "Poltergeist," 1982) will all be back on the job, keeping the streets of New York safe.

All the laughs of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" return to Fox on Sunday, Sept. 27.

An Indian 'Masterpiece': A new era is dawning.

PBS's "Masterpiece" has long been the home for absolutely stellar anthologies, and whether its airing original productions or British imports, the series has remained a popular draw for the public broadcaster.

This autumn, "Masterpiece" will host a co-production between PBS and the U.K.'s Channel 4. "Indian Summers" has already aired across the Atlantic, and finally American audiences will get the chance to enjoy this, well, masterpiece.

Set in northern India against the majestic backdrop of the Himalayas, "Indian Summers" follows a group of British aristocrats in the summer of 1932. The winds of revolution are blowing through India, but the British are determined to hold onto the crown jewel in their empire.

Headlining the cast is Academy Award nominee Julie Walters. She first burst into prominence way back in 1983's "Educating Rita," and her career hasn't slowed down since. Recently, she played the loveable Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter films, and voiced the witch in Disney's 2012 animated feature "Brave."

Joining Walters on screen will be Henry Lloyd-Hughes ("Anna Karenina," 2012), Nikesh Patel ("Bedlam"), Jemima West ("The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," 2013), Roshan Seth ("Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," 1984) and Lillete Dubey ("The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," 2011).

Set during a time of growing unrest in India, "Indian Summers" has the potential to live up to the "Masterpiece" name. The series premieres on PBS on Sunday, Sept. 27.

A wild presidency: President Obama is heading for Bear country.

While visiting Alaska in September as part of his climate change tour, the commander-in-chief teamed up with a bear -- but not the kind that might have seen him as a tasty snack.

Bear Grylls, host of NBC's "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," took the president on a wilderness hike to Exit Glacier, a massive ice floe in Alaska's Kenai Mountains.

Each episode of "Running Wild" finds avid outdoorsman and survival expert Grylls heading out into the remote wilderness with a celebrity at his side. The pair are forced to survive, living off the land and putting their lives on the line to witness some of the most breathtaking sites on the planet.

Of course, having the president of the United States appear on the show is kind of a big deal for both Grylls and for President Obama. During their hike, Grylls reportedly cooked up a delicious salmon for lunch -- a salmon that had already been picked over by a bear and left on the shoreline.

An air date for the president's episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" hasn't been announced yet, but the show's second season is currently airing on NBC -- watch your local listings for this very special episode.
