Q: How did someone get Daniel Craig to do a vodka ad?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

You must be referring to the ad for Belvedere vodka that features Daniel Craig ("Casino Royale," 2006) dancing, badly, in an undershirt through a swanky hotel. It went viral online because — well, because of what I just described.

Craig said he did it for a laugh. "When I read the script, I thought, 'Hmm, really?'" he told England's Sunday Times magazine. "Then, 'Let's go with it.' I hope people get the gag."

Call Me Kat, on FOX

Kat (Mayim Bialik) and Max (Cheyenne Jackson) have some news to share but they try to keep it a secret until after Sheila's (Swoosie Kurtz) big birthday bash, and Carter (Julian Gant) thinks he's cursed after breaking a pre-wedding superstition.

Q: Are they making more Expendables movies?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

In the case of the Expendables franchise, that's a big "they." But I can say that "they" have at least one more installment locked and loaded, and at least a rough plan for more.

The premise of "The Expendables" (2010) and its sequels is simple: What if, instead of making a bunch of different action movies, someone tried to cram all the big action-movie stars and all the usual action-movie elements (wise-cracking heroes, bad-guy drug runners, stuff blowing up in the jungle) into one movie?

Chicago Fire, on NBC

Tonight's new episode finds a familiar face returning to Firehouse 51 to serve with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) on a special task force. Also, with Tony (Anthony Ferraris) close to breaking the CFD's perfect attendance record, the team works to keep him safe.

FBI: International, on CBS

For the second time in the franchise's history, the teams from "FBI," "FBI: Most Wanted" and "FBI International" come together in a three-part crossover event. The teams work together when an abduction in Rome reveals a plot to carry out a terror attack.

Q: Who plays Virginia in "Happy Gilmore"? I recognize her eyes.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Virginia Venit, the kind public relations head who takes unorthodox golfer Happy (Adam Sandler, "Murder Mystery 2," 2023) under her wing in "Happy Gilmore" (1996), is played by Julie Bowen, an actress who would soon turn her eyes away from film and back to TV.

And that's probably how you know her. In particular, you likely know her from the long-running sitcom "Modern Family," in which she played stern but devoted mom Claire Dunphy for the show's 11-season run from 2009 to 2020.

Quantum Leap, on NBC

The future of the Quantum Leap project is at stake in this season finale. While Ben's (Raymond Lee) final leap of the season brings him closer to home, a showdown with Leaper X could jeopardize everything. Ernie Hudson and Mason Park also star.
