Q:  Will there be any more Jesse Stone movies now that Mr. Parker has passed away?

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be, though that apparently has little to do with author Robert B. Parker's death.

Michael Brandman, who produces the Jesse Stone telefilms for CBS along with series star Tom Selleck, told "Variety" magazine in the spring, shortly after the most recent one aired, that CBS doesn't want to make any more.

The Bachelor, on ABC

After losing Emily Maynard's heart, handsome Texan Sean Lowe sets out to find the woman of his dreams in this season premiere. Lowe gets to know a variety of women from all walks of life in the hopes of making a true romantic connection.

Hit and Run

A former getaway driver and his girlfriend ditch their witness-protection protocol to get her to a job interview in Los Angeles. Along the way, the couple have to go to great lengths to avoid interference from an inept U.S. marshal, an old girlfriend and a disgruntled former crew.

Frankenweenie

Young Victor Frankenstein is a little antisocial. He spends much of his time reading or experimenting in his lab, and his very best friend is his dog, Sparky. When Victor’s dad coaxes him out of his lab and onto the baseball field, he hits a home run in his very first game. Unfortunately, Sparky chases the baseball into the street, gets hit by a car and dies. Victor is devastated. Taking inspiration from a school lesson on the effects of electricity, the young scientist digs up Sparky’s body and reanimates it using lightning. When his classmates see Sparky and learn his secret, they overrun Victor's lab and begin to create monsters of their own.

Dredd 3D

In a post-apocalyptic America, law is enforced by Judges, highly trained soldiers responsible for acting as judge, jury and executioner to lawbreakers. Judge Dredd is assigned the task of evaluating a new recruit, Anderson, and takes her on assignment to a suspected drug den where they encounter Ma-Ma, a vicious drug lord desperate to keep her operation afloat. Dredd and Anderson must go to great lengths to rid the city of Ma-Ma and her henchmen.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Steffy implores Liam to not consider getting back together with Hope after it's made clear that Hope wants him back. Katie worries that Bill has a drinking problem when Caroline suffers a terrible accident and all of the evidence seems to point to Bill. As Bill tries to clear his name over Caroline's incident, he is confronted by Hope about his part in sabotaging her relationship with his son. Liam confronts Rick with a punch in the face for all of his scheming ways and later gives Hope a final answer as to whether or not they have a future together.

Days of Our Lives

Kristen reveals to John that she's been plotting her revenge since she returned and could think of no better way than taking his son from him. Kristen plays innocent with Brady and tells him John was out of control, which results in a father-and-son fist fight. Kristen starts to feel slightly guilty and tries to call things off with Brady while he's in the hospital, but he refuses. Sami and Rafe prepare for their New Year's Eve dates with EJ and Nicole, respectively, but they end up kissing each other when the clock strikes midnight. EJ worries that Kristen's scheming will get in the way of his efforts to win back Sami when Marlena tells him his sister is a monster set on destroying John and his entire family. Jennifer visits Daniel at the hospital and they share a sweet kiss, while things heat up between Chad and Abigail back at the house. Meanwhile, Nick apologizes to Will for making an offensive comment, and Gabi and Sonny declare a truce.

General Hospital

Romantic sparks fly for many couples at the start of the new year, while the lives of two gravely injured Port Charles residents hang by a thread. Todd and Carly share a long, passionate kiss, but Johnny is poised to wreck Carly's newfound happiness. Starr's mettle is tested when she finds Connie in desperate need of help at the same place where Cole and Hope died. As Michael worries about Starr, Maxie and Spinelli come close to making a huge mistake when things don't go their way. Things aren't what they seem when Sonny shares a sincere moment with Connie, who might actually be Kate.

The Young and the Restless

Nick takes Avery to his new club, The Underground, on New Year's Eve, while Victor vows to wrest back control of Newman Enterprises as he celebrates with Nikki. Meanwhile, Jack spends the night with an intoxicatingly beautiful redhead he meets at the bar and wakes up the next day with a wicked hangover. Adam agrees to move abroad with Chelsea to save their marriage, but moving plans are cut short when it seems Adam may have to take Jack's place at Newman. Despite Kevin's objections, Chloe sneaks into Noah's place and makes off with his duffel bag full of stolen cash. Lily rebuffs Tyler's attempts at consolation after she says goodbye to Daniel. Neil asks Leslie how she feels about the night they spent together and later tells Cane he will return to Jabot. Phyllis spends quality time with Daniel and Lucy before they share a heartfelt goodbye and Daniel leaves Genoa City.
