Young Victor Frankenstein is a little antisocial. He spends much of his time reading or experimenting in his lab, and his very best friend is his dog, Sparky. When Victor’s dad coaxes him out of his lab and onto the baseball field, he hits a home run in his very first game. Unfortunately, Sparky chases the baseball into the street, gets hit by a car and dies. Victor is devastated. Taking inspiration from a school lesson on the effects of electricity, the young scientist digs up Sparky’s body and reanimates it using lightning. When his classmates see Sparky and learn his secret, they overrun Victor's lab and begin to create monsters of their own.
