Dark Skies

The peaceful lives of Lacy and Daniel Barrett and their two sons, Sam and Jesse, are suddenly disrupted when disturbing happenings start taking place in their quiet suburban home. One night, Lacy wakes to find the back door wide open. She finds the fridge door has also been opened and the contents scattered across the kitchen floor. She and Daniel dismiss the event -- blaming the break-in on an animal -- but when Lacy wakes to find canned food stacked all over the floors and counters, she becomes increasingly concerned that the perpetrator of these bizarre break-ins is not an animal at all. Soon after, the Barretts begin to experience blackouts and weird trance-like states that can't be explained. Worried for her family's safety, Lacy begins a search for answers and is shocked to find cases of similar occurrences. As the strange events begin to escalate in frequency and violence, Lacy discovers that a dark force is out to get her family.

Lore

Shortly after the end of the Second World War, an SS officer and his wife (also a strong believer and supporter of the Nazi regime) disappear from their home in Germany when they are threatened by an imminent arrest by Allied troops. They leave behind their five children, who, with no other options, must find a way to their grandmother's home in the Husum Bay near Hamburg. Led by the eldest daughter, Lore, the destitute kids set off on a 500-mile journey north, where they encounter a variety of people with different beliefs — some more helpful than others. When they meet a young Jewish concentration camp survivor, Lore and her siblings are forced to come to terms with the truth of what their parents stood for, and must learn to trust the very people they had been taught to hate.

Q: Everyone talks about Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, but what is Tracy Morgan doing now that "30 Rock" is over? He was always my favorite.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

That remains to be seen, actually -- Morgan hasn't announced a new major project yet, either on TV or film.

He's doing voice roles in a couple of films currently in production, but neither really counts as his next big step -- indeed, one is in "Rio 2," a sequel to the animated comedy he did in his spare time while working on "30 Rock."

Q: What was Lucille Ball's last role? Didn't she do another series later on in her career?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Lucille Ball, who will be best known forever as the titular star of the fittingly named, golden-age sitcom "I Love Lucy," starred in a few other shows afterwards. Her last role was in one of those, the also appropriately titled "Life With Lucy."

That one, unfortunately, was not a hit like "I Love Lucy," and only lasted one 13-episode season before being yanked from the ABC airwaves a few months after it debuted in 1986. Ball died three years later, at age 77.
