Q: I heard a rumor that Michael Myers' mask in "Halloween" was actually a store-bought William Shatner face. Is that true?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

It is. As is the case with many of the best horror movies, the 1978 classic "Halloween" was made on a tiny budget, and so to save money, the costume department bought a mask at a costume store and altered it to make the face of the film's relentless killer.

The mask they chose was of Shatner's "Star Trek" character, Capt. Kirk.

They widened the eyeholes, painted it white and added violently messy hair at the top, but once you know the origin, you can start to see the resemblance.

Q: I feel like it's been a while since I've seen Jamie Lee Curtis in anything. Is she still acting?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

She has been a little less visible in recent years, but at her career stage, she doesn't have to be.

Former scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis had to work to make a name for herself in her early years (well, somewhat -- being the daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh meant she already had a name for herself). However now, at age 54, she can rest on her laurels a little bit.
