Q: I just saw a listing for a show called "Mixed-ish." Is that connected to "Black-ish" somehow?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

"Mixed-ish" is directly linked to fellow ABC sitcom "Black-ish" — it is, in fact, a prequel.

Not only that, but both share a sort of "Ish"-iverse with a third series, "Grown-ish," which aired on ABC's cable sibling, Freeform.

All three were created by Kenya Barris ("Cheaper by the Dozen," 2022) and based loosely on his own life and that of his wife, Rainbow Edwards-Barris.

Q: Who plays Buttons, the navigator, on "Our Flag Means Death"? He looks so familiar.

You must have an eye for faces, since, with his bushy beard and long, scraggly hair, Ewen Bremner looks drastically different in the HBO Max comedy "Our Flag Means Death" than he does in any of his other big roles.

Most notably, he was clean-shaven (on his face and most of his head as well) in "Trainspotting" (1996) and its very late sequel, "T2 Trainspotting" (2017).

"Jeopardy!" GOATs Buzzy Cohen, James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter star as Chasers in another new episode of this trivia series based on a popular British show. Sara Haines hosts as contestants battle the world's best quizzers for a big cash prize.

Q: Does George Clooney do his own singing in "O Brother, Where Art Thou"?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

You have to hand it to George Clooney ("The Monuments Men," 2014) — he gave it a shot. But the voice you hear singing in the film and on the smash-hit soundtrack is that of folk singer Dan Tyminski.

At an "O Brother, Where Art Thou" cast reunion at the Nashville Film Festival in 2020, Clooney recalled that everyone had high hopes for him — filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen, soundtrack producer T Bone Burnett and Clooney himself.
