You have a great memory, and have stumbled on a pretty great mystery.

It was indeed Diana Ross and the Supremes, in their late-'60s iteration (founding members Diana Ross and Mary Wilson along with new addition Cindy Birdsong), who guest starred on that 1968 episode of "Tarzan," titled "The Convert."

It was a rare acting role for the group, playing nuns traveling through Africa. The nuns are, of course, amazing singers and frequently break out into song in the course of the episode.

When Ben (Jay R. Ferguson) offers Mark (Ames McNamara) free piano lessons, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) sees it as a chance to test his parenting skills in this rebroadcast. Meanwhile, Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) throws a baby shower for Becky (Lecy Goranson).

North Americans don't consume a lot of Australian media. I would blame this fact on Australia being half a world away and full of wacky island folk, but the U.K. is an island as well (though admittedly a little more austere), and we've experienced many "invasions" of British music, film and television since the transmission was scientifically possible.

Lip Sync to the Rescue, on CBS

First responders lip sync to hit music in a trend that began with the viral video sensation #LipSyncChallenge in this premiere music special. Viewers can vote for their favorites via Twitter, and the winners are awarded $100,000.

Q: Are there any updates on the second season of "The Night Manager"?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Yes, but they amount to the same lack of a conclusion we had before. The bottom line is we still don't know if it will happen.

"The Night Manager," starring Tom Hiddleston ("Avengers: Endgame," 2019), Hugh Laurie ("House") and Olivia Colman ("The Crown"), originally aired as a miniseries on AMC here and the BBC in the U.K., an adaptation of the John le Carré novel of the same name. It was a huge critical and popular hit, though, so naturally the networks and fans wanted more.
