Q: I'm confused: There were two action movies, called "Anna" and "Ava," released about a year apart, that look very similar. Are they related?

"Anna" (2019) and "Ava" (2020) are two completely unrelated films that just happen to follow almost the exact same plot and also happen to be titled after their protagonists, whose names both happen to start with A and are palindromes (they read the same both backward and forward).

I won't insult you by saying this is a coincidence, but it's not really intentional, either.

Horror Noire, on AMC

AMC presents Black excellence in horror throughout this new six-story series, releasing its second episode tonight. Black voices come together on screen and behind the scenes to create a terrifying weekly tale. Tony Todd and Erica Ash are among the stars.

Q: I haven't seen Richard Gere in a while. Has he stopped making movies?

He hasn't stopped, but he's definitely in the choosy period of his career.

Richard Gere ("Pretty Woman," 1990), an icon of '80s and '90s Hollywood glamour, has only had four screen roles in the past five years, and none of them was particularly splashy.

I Can See Your Voice, on Fox

Ken Jeong returns to host another new episode from this game show's second season. Clues, probes and lip-sync puzzles help celebrity panelists to decipher which of the contestants is a good singer without actually ever getting to hear them sing.
