More than you think -- other Christmas movies, mostly.

Alison Sweeney was a fixture on screens for ages, either as Sami on landmark soap opera "Days of Our Lives" or as the host of landmark reality show "The Biggest Loser." So, when she left "Loser" in 2015, the absence was palpable, but really she's just settled into a schedule that other actors would consider busy.

She's back on "Days" on a part-time basis, but she's also established herself as a Hallmark go-to, which means a lot of Christmas movies.

She appears in this year's "Open by Christmas," as you say, but she also did last year's "Good Morning Christmas," 2019's "Time for You to Come Home for Christmas" and 2017's "Christmas at Holly Lodge." (If you noticed a gap there in 2018, so did she.)

Sweeney says herself that Hallmark Christmas movies have become a more or less automatic part of her schedule, at Hallmark's insistence. After taking 2018 off, the network approached her about doing 2019's "Time for You to Come Home for Christmas."

"It sort of happened because I didn't do a Christmas movie this year, and some of my fans and other people were asking me about it," she said in a 2019 interview with SmashingInterviews.com. "So I thought, 'Why didn't I do a Christmas movie this year?'… I read the script and I loved it."
