Danny Collins

Danny Collins (Pacino) is an aging 1970s-era rocker who's set in his ways. His fans are as old as he is, his beautiful young wife is faithless and he relies on drugs to get him through his shows. When his manager (Plummer) uncovers a letter that John Lennon wrote to Danny more than 40 years ago, he takes its advice to heart and becomes determined to change his life's trajectory. He gives up the drugs, leaves his wife to her younger lover and crosses the country to connect with his adult son Tom (Cannavale), whom he's never met and is the result of a brief fling decades prior. While Tom wants nothing to do with his father, Danny begins to connect with his daughter-in-law (Garner) and granddaughter.

She meets Freddie (Dallas), a street vendor, who agrees to help her train for the Froglympics so that she herself can win and ruin her father's plan. Behind the scenes, however, a villainous serpent has his own plan to ruin the Froglympics and perhaps to even overthrow the king and take power for himself.
