Q: Why hasn't the TV show "Supernatural" been made into a motion picture? Both stars have movie-star appeal and the writing, acting and special effects on the television show supersede most of what we see in big-screen films these days.

Any number of factors could explain why a "Supernatural" movie hasn't happened yet, but the most compelling one is: because it's not done being a TV show.

The TV-to-film transition is rarely done with much success, and almost always when the series has ended. "Supernatural," now in its ninth season, may not even be close to the end.

When a secret Arctic laboratory containing a dangerous mutagen known as PX-41, capable of turning the most docile of creatures into horrifying monsters, is stolen, the Anti-Villain League recruits the help of former-super-villain-turned-father-of-three Gru to help them find the culprit. Together with his new partner, Agent Wilde of the AVL, Gru uses his villainous experience to track down the evil person responsible for stealing PX-41. Meanwhile, his constant worrying over his daughters, his growing attraction to Lucy, and the odd disappearance of many of his minions get in the way of Gru cracking the case.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Rick and Caroline shock everyone during the Thanksgiving festivities with news that they are about to get married. Pam and Charlie experience their first kiss over the ingredients of a wedding cake. Later, Rick and Caroline passionately celebrate their first night together as a married couple. Jealousy gets the better of Quinn when she witnesses a growing closeness between Eric and Donna. Days of Our Lives

Sami is alarmed when she realizes she may have left incriminating evidence at the crime scene, and EJ tries to figure out what she's hiding. Brady suffers a relapse after watching a video from Kristen and tries to hide his drug use from Nicole and Maggie. Meanwhile, Eric becomes the victim of a vicious attack. As Daniel tries to figure out how to clear Eric's name, an enraged Sami confronts Nicole about the story she's doing on Eric. The mystery surrounding Jordan deepens as she shares her first kiss with Rafe. Theresa speaks up at Daniel's disciplinary meeting and later asks him for some help concerning JJ. Meanwhile, JJ gets some upsetting news about his impending hearing. Gabi turns to Rafe for support as she completely falls apart, while Kate tries to stop her from spilling a big secret. Victor pulls out all the stops to get Maggie to move back home with him.

General Hospital

As Patrick and Sabrina prepare to say "I do, " Emma spots an uninvited guest at the ceremony. The residents of Port Charles are left completely stunned when a revelation is made. A joyful reunion holds immense consequences for both Patrick and Sabrina. Meanwhile, Sonny goes to Duke with an offer he surely can't refuse and later has an encounter with Ava at the courthouse. Maxie is overwhelmed with grief. Sabrina discusses the earth-shattering events of her wedding with Carlos, while Patrick's emotional roller-coaster shows no signs of slowing down.

The Young and the Restless

Dylan discovers that Nikki is his birth mother, but when he asks who the father is, all Nikki will say is that he wasn't a good man and Dylan is nothing like him. After Dylan declares that he doesn't need a new family and storms out, Victoria urges Billy to talk to him as someone who understands what it's like to deal with the Newmans. Sharon begins to have misgivings about Noah's employment at Newman-Chancellor, while at the same time Noah and Kyle pitch ideas to Victor about growing the youth demographics for the company. Ashley encourages Abby to trust her heart when she expresses worry about Tyler's ex, Mariah. Meanwhile, Lauren and Michael do whatever they can to prevent Paul from finding out that Fen killed Carmine. Sharon is excited when Neil offers her a job at Jabot as mentor to the younger models. Chelsea and Adam agree that living together is what's best for Connor, as long as they establish boundaries with one another.
