Q: I'm in love with the new show "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," especially the Gina character. What can you tell me about the actress who plays her?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The actress who plays office administrator Gina Linetti on Fox's hit sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" didn't start out as an actress at all.

Chelsea Peretti started out as a standup comedian, who has since transitioned into acting. She's maintaining both careers simultaneously, which she has said is a challenge.

Peretti was previously a writer on the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," but left it, she told comedy site Splitsider.com, to focus on her standup work.

Q: Does Brad Garrett voice the yellow M&M in commercials? Who does Red's voice?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

You aren't the only one to mistake the voice of the yellow M&M for former "Everybody Loves Raymond" star (and prolific voice actor) Brad Garrett, but his is not the voice inside the shell.

It's actually J.K. Simmons, former co-star on "The Closer" as Assistant Chief Will Pope, and in the mid-2000s "Spider-Man" films as J. Jonah Jameson.
