Q: Is it true that the actor who plays Dr. Owen Hunt on "Grey's Anatomy" is actually Scottish?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

It is. Kevin McKidd was born in Elgin, Scotland.

In fact, one of his first roles was in the quintessentially Scottish 1996 film "Trainspotting." His character, Tommy, is the one who enthuses about the rolling green landscape making him "proud to be Scottish," only to be shot down in colorful terms by Ewan McGregor's character.

American Crime, on ABC

Golden Globe winners Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman lead the cast as the estranged parents of a murder victim in the highly-charged new drama series. They are surprised by what they find as they seek justice for their son.

Q: Has Susan Sarandon ever done any voice work?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Oscar-winning film star Susan Sarandon has done a lot of voice work in the past, but not all of it the "cool" kind.

Actors often get headlines when they voice characters in animated movies, but that's just one type of voice work. The lion's share of Sarandon's work has been less celebrated work as a narrator, mostly for political documentaries (she's well known for her activism).

Perception, on TNT

When a student is murdered, the victim's boyfriend is the prime suspect and Pierce (Eric McCormack) defends him while searching for the real killer. Meanwhile, Kate (Rachael Leigh Cook) and Donnie (Scott Wolf) prepare for their wedding.

If there's one thing to be said about family, it's that regardless of your own preference, you're stuck with the one you're given. Regardless of opinions, personal upbringings or outlook on life, the challenging part of keeping together a family is each member's level of tolerance and understanding.
