Let's get rolling! A new season of "The Great Food Truck Race" is ready to roll out on Food Network and discovery this week. And if you've tuned in to previous seasons, you already know all the contestants.

That's right, the latest installment is an all-star edition.

Premiering Sunday, June 6, on Food Network -- and available for streaming the same day on discovery -- "The Great Food Truck Race: All-Stars" marks the return of seven alumni teams that will be facing off in all-new road battles to determine the ultimate champion.

Who are these "all stars"? There's Aloha Plate (Lanai and Adam Tabura, Shawn Felipe) from Lanai City, Hawaii; The Lime Truck (Daniel Shemtob, Jesse Brockman, Mark Esposito) of Irvine, California; The Middle Feast (Tommy and Daniella Marudi, Gabriel Villagrana) of Los Angeles; Mystikka Masala (Andrew Pettke, Navin Hariprasad, Doug Long) of Santa Monica, California; NOLA Creations (Darrell and Aunna Johnson, Terrell Gaskin) of Atlanta; Seoul Sausage (Ted and Yong Kim, Han Hwang) of Los Angeles; and Waffle Love (Adam, Jared and Steve Terry) of Provo, Utah.

Tyler Florence is back as host, mentor and critic, and while the previous season played out across the state of Alaska, all six episodes of "All-Stars" were shot on location in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

The reason has less to do with COVID-19 protocols and the resurgence of sourdough, and more to do with the history of food trucks themselves.

In the official news release, Courtney White, president of Food Network and Cooking Channel, was quoted as saying, "California is where the food truck trend first exploded, and we are excited to bring these fan-favorite teams back to where it all began for this fierce culinary race. An unexpected moment is just around the corner every week, and the non-stop action is sure to keep our viewers on the edge of their seat."

Speaking of sourdough, you can count on San Francisco's most famous food contribution to put in an appearance -- in fact, the Gold Rush staple is featured in the first episode, when teams engage in a bread bowl battle at Fisherman's Wharf to uncover the keys to their trucks.

The competition later moves to Napa Valley for a grape-stomping challenge, to the Redwoods for a foraging fight, Ocean Beach for seafood bites, Chase Center arena for a hoop-shooting contest, and eventually San Francisco's famed Chinatown in the double-episode finale airing July 11, when two remaining teams battle it out for the $50,000 grand prize.

The action begins on Sunday, June 6, with the season premiere, but if you need to get reacquainted with the teams featured on "The Great Food Truck Race: All-Stars," head over to FoodNetwork.com/FoodTrucks.
