What's your favorite comfort food? Come on, we all have one. For me, it's the grilled cheese sandwich. It's oh so simple to make, but there's nothing that takes me back to my childhood quicker than gooey, melty cheese between two crispy slices of bread. I guess you could call the grilled cheese my greatest food hit.

And that is what "Food's Greatest Hits" is all about. The new Cooking Channel show premiered July 11, and is currently airing Monday evenings on the culinary channel.

Each episode takes an in-depth look at the favorite foods people crave and dream about, from my cheesy grilled favorite to milkshakes to burgers. Culinary experts are standing by to take hungry viewers on a journey to explore the history behind these dishes, and then will even try out some new and crazy twists on the old favorites.

The experts on hand also serve as hosts for each episode, and they're a bit of a Cooking Channel all-star team. They all have their own personal greatest hit, and they're relishing the chance to take a deeper look at some of their favorite foods.

Georgia Hardstark and Alie Ward are a bubbly pair who co-hosted Cooking Channel's digital series "Classy Ladies" and frequently pop up in "Unique Sweets." Their food greatest hit? The thick, rich and classic, all-American milkshake.

Rev Run, a music icon who's sold tens of millions of records, and his wife, Justine Simmons, have found a whole new generation of fans with their Cooking Channel show "Rev Run's Sunday Suppers" in which they share their personal family recipes with viewers.

Canadian favorite Roger Mooking is taking a turn as host. He's previously hosted "Man Fire Food" and "Everyday Exotic," and is well known for his love of hot, spicy foods.

Other experts who have been hosting throughout the season include "The Real Girl's Kitchen's" Haylie Duff, "Carnival Eats'" Noah Cappe, "Eden Eats'" Eden Grinshpan, "Sugar Showdown's" Josh Elkin, "Taste in Translation's" Aarti Sequeira, and Cory Vitiello, star of Food Network Canada's "Chef in Your Ear."

The tastiest classics are on full display in Cooking Channel's "Food's Greatest Hits," currently airing Monday evenings.
