I can probably help you find it, but I can't necessarily tell you the name. If it sounds like I'm speaking in riddles, I'm not, I'm just playing the averages: If you're looking for a reality show set in an emergency room, chances are you'll find it on Discovery Life.

Based on your description, you're probably thinking of one of three shows. "Trauma: Life in the E.R." ran from 1997 to 2004 on TLC, and now airs in syndication on Discovery Life. "Untold Stories of the ER" debuted on TLC in 2004 and still airs there today, but also airs in reruns on Discovery Life. "Emergency Room: Life Death at VGH" is an ongoing series produced by The Knowledge Network in Canada, but airs in the U.S. on ... you guessed it.

The premises of the first two are identical, following cases at various emergency rooms around the U.S., so it's hard to say which of those you might have been watching. The third is the same except that it's set at Vancouver General Hospital, so if the injuries you saw looked particularly Canadian, it was that one.
