No one has said exactly why Natasha Curry left HLN, where she had her own weekend show and, as you say, was the go-to fill-in for Robin Meade's weekday show. The closest we have is an unnamed HLN spokesperson telling "TV Newser" that she "decided to move back West to be with her family." Of course, that decision may or may not have come after someone else decided she didn't have a job anymore.

Her departure came in December 2013 as part of a shakeup at the cable news network. Sports reporter Carlos Diaz left at the same time, shortly after new network president Albie Hecht came in and started making major programming changes, including a number of cancelations.

Curry's weekend show, "Weekend Express," wasn't on the cut list, though -- the show is now hosted by Lynn Berry.

The only sight that's been seen of Curry since her exit wasn't even a sight: She returned to her Pacific Northwest-radio roots by doing a weeklong fill-in spot on Seattle's MOViN 92.5 radio morning show in August 2014. (Before joining HLN, Curry reported for Seattle's KOMO-TV and KOMO Newsradio.) Other than that brief run, there's no word of what Curry's been doing.

It's quite possible she has indeed taken some family time -- she's done it before. She went on maternity leave from HLN for a few months in 2012 to give birth to her son.
