"Nashville" will return, but it's important to not get too excited.
The show went on mid-season hiatus in mid-December, and the rest of season 3 will air starting on Wednesday, Feb. 4. However, it hasn't yet been renewed for a fourth round.

That said, it's too early to worry yet. Last year's renewal didn't come until May, just a few days before the season finale and well after most other shows got their pickups.

Showrunner Dee Johnson told "The Hollywood Reporter" that she tries to ignore renewal speculation, and that her team is always writing as if the show will go on. "We're definitely moving forward like we've got more to come. That's not, in any way, anything I'm thinking about."

The fact that there's at least more season 3 still to come should be a relief to fans who watched the last cliff-hanging episode in December. The actual season 3 finale is slated to air in May.

The show is certainly not without its supporters, both among fans and critics. It was nominated for a People's Choice Award for favorite network drama, and Hayden Panettiere (who plays Juliette) was nominated for a best-supporting-actress Golden Globe.
