Q: I love the new TV show "Lethal Weapon," and I know I've seen Clayne Crawford before, but I can't remember where. Can you help me with some info on him?

With a rather lengthy list of credits to his name already, it's a little weird that Fox's pre-season promos for "Lethal Weapon" said "Introducing Clayne Crawford" -- especially since a couple of his more notable roles have been in Fox shows.

This isn't even his first full-time TV role. He's actually replacing one regular gig with another -- even as "Lethal Weapon's" debut season is airing on Fox, Sundance TV is airing the fourth and final season of Crawford's previous show, "Rectify." He has a supporting role in that one, playing the lead character's stepbrother.

Prior to these two regular gigs, Crawford's TV career has been filled with a number of multi-episode guest turns. Fox has apparently forgotten that he appeared in nine episodes of its former flagship series, "24," as a villain (of sorts) in the show's eighth and final season. He also appeared in "Justified," which aired on Fox's sister network FX, playing a prison medic in three episodes of the show's third season.

Fans (if not Fox) may remember him for arcs in "NCIS: New Orleans" (playing Cade, brother of Special Agent Chris LaSalle, in the show's debut season), CBS's "Jericho" and A&E's "The Glades."

On film, his most notable roles have been in the 2002 Nicholas Sparks adaptation "A Walk to Remember" and the weirdo indie dramedies "Wristcutters: A Love Story" (2006) and "The Perfect Host" (2010). Actually, apart from the incredibly normal "A Walk to Remember," most of his film career can be characterized as offbeat.

Obsessive "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fans (of whom there are many) will remember Crawford from his very first role, a small turn in a second-season episode of the show way back in 1997.

It appears that he won't be adding much to that résumé in the near future, since "Lethal Weapon" isn't leaving the air any time soon, having recently been handed a full-season order from the network.
