It is the same Shelley Fabares, and though she hasn't done much acting lately, she's certainly still around.
A child actress who first appeared on camera at age 3, "The Donna Reed Show" was her big break. She played Mary Stone, Donna's eldest daughter.
The show conferred teen-idol status on young Fabares, who parlayed that into a singing career. Her most notable hits were "The Things We Did Last Summer" and the even more successful "Johnny Angel."
Among her other notable screen roles, she played Joy Piccolo, wife of the titular Brian Piccolo in the landmark 1971 telefilm "Brian's Song." More recently, she played Christine Armstrong Fox, the love interest and eventual wife of Craig T. Nelson's character on the long-running sitcom "Coach."
Most recently, she's done a few turns voicing Martha Kent, Superman's mom, on a few different Superman cartoons.
An active member of the Screen Actors Guild, she's served as producer of the past seven Screen Actors Guild awards shows.
