There are a couple of possible reasons why you might feel you haven't seen "Archer" in a while, but regardless, there's more on the way. The show has been renewed for a 12th season, which is scheduled to debut Aug. 25 on FXX.

That channel situation is one reason you might be missing it (in both senses of the word). It used to air on the more popular FX network but was moved to the higher-numbered FXX in 2017.

You might also feel like it's been a while because the seasons have gotten shorter. For the first few years, it had 13 episodes per season, but for the past few it's been down to eight or nine.

But in fact, it hasn't been as long as it could have been since we last saw Sterling Archer and company.

Season 11 was originally scheduled to air last summer but was delayed until the fall, meaning it's only been since October that we last saw them bicker while saving the world.

A bit of (slightly sad) good news for fans is the fact that the premiere-date announcement listed Jessica Walter as still being part of the voice cast.

Walter, who plays Sterling's mother, Malory, died a few months ago but reportedly recorded her parts for the season before that. That gives fans all of Season 12 to say goodbye to one of the key voices on the show.
