LEGENDARY ANIMATION: The longest-running prime-time scripted series in America is hoping to earn another big title, and this time it'll come from the Guinness World Record folks.

Fox's "The Simpsons" plans to honor its upcoming 500th episode by getting its biggest die-hard fans to set a world record for longest continuous television viewing. In order to beat the current record, the marathon will have to last more than 86 hours 6 minutes 41 seconds.

The milestone episode is scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb. 19, but the contest will kick off earlier in the month, on Wednesday, Feb. 8, when fans can gather at the corner of Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles to take part in the record attempt, which is being dubbed The Simpsons Ultimate Fan Marathon Challenge. They'll watch up to 500 back-to-back episodes of the hit Fox series, and the winning viewer will go home with $10,500 as well as exclusive merchandise.

Fans hoping to register for the event should check out thesimpsons.com or the show's Facebook page for further details and updates.

The upcoming 500th episode will revisit a theme explored in multiple older episodes and the hit 2007 movie: how the Simpson family copes with living outside of Springfield. Titled "At Long Last Leave," the episode opens as the family is kicked out of their hometown and is forced to live in an off-the-grid community. Neighbors and friends are hostile when Homer and Marge try to sneak back into town, which convinces them that they may be better off in their new home.

Even after 20 years on the air, "The Simpsons" continues to draw top-shelf guest talent. So far, Season 23's episodes have featured Kiefer Sutherland, Jane Lynch, Gordon Ramsay, Andy Garcia, Joan Rivers, Kevin Dillon, Ted Nugent and John Slattery, among others.

COUTURE CRITICS: Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos have seen a lot of good and bad fashion moments between them and they'll soon see even more.

The four panelists of "Fashion Police" have made the show so popular that E! Entertainment Television is expanding the program to a full hour starting on Friday, March 9.

"'Fashion Police' was an instant hit as a weekly series and, given the wealth of material, it's natural for us to expand to an hour to bring viewers an even bigger dose of everything fashion and pop culture through Joan and the gang's unique comedic voices," said E!'s Lisa Berger.

To fill the extra 30 minutes, Rivers will take cameras to designer showrooms and the backstage areas at fashion shows to offer tips and clever commentary.

Rivers leads the "Fashion Police" foursome and brings her biting comedic style to the show. The comedian and TV personality has plenty of experience tearing into celebrity wardrobe choices, having worked as a commentator and host of red-carpet specials for years.

Osbourne shot to fame thanks to her family's reality series "The Osbournes" and has since established herself as in international It Girl. After a recent stint on "Dancing With the Stars," she is now working as the face of Material Girl, the fashion line from Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon.

Rancic is already familiar to E! viewers as the host of "E! News." Additionally, she and her husband, Bill Rancic of "The Apprentice," currently have their own reality show on Style, called "Giuliana and Bill."

Kotsiopoulos is a celebrity stylist who spent many years working for T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Viewers may recognize him for his recurring appearances as himself on "The Young and the Restless."

SHERYL SERVES JUSTICE: Next week, one of the newest hosts of CBS's "The Talk" will debut as a guest star on television's most beloved soap opera.

On Friday, Feb. 10, Sheryl Underwood will help two of the stars of "The Young and the Restless" exchange their wedding vows when she plays a Justice of the Peace in the special episode.

"Y&R" star Christian Le Blanc, who plays Michael Baldwin in the sudser, recently appeared on "The Talk" to surprise Underwood with the news that she had been chosen for the role. He served the ladies champagne and then proceeded to tell Underwood, in between her screams of joy, about the part.

Le Blanc couldn't reveal whose wedding Underwood would be performing, so fans will have to tune in to find out which characters are getting hitched.

Underwood, who has been a "Y&R" fan for years, started her post as one of the co-hosts of "The Talk" in September 2011. The comedian also hosts her own radio show, called the Sheryl Underwood Show, on The Foxxhole, which is Jamie Foxx's Sirius Satellite Radio channel.

Before she made her mark on the comedy scene, Underwood was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Aisha Tyler round out the panel as "The Talk's" other co-hosts. The women discuss everything from current events and popular culture to family and parenting issues, and the show is often compared to its ABC counterpart, "The View."

"The Talk," which was created by Gilbert, currently fills the time-slot that used to belong to "As the World Turns," which CBS canceled in 2010 due to low ratings.
